Police search for suspect in Southfield bank robbery

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (WJBK) -- The Southfield police are asking for the public's assistance in identifying a woman suspected of robbing a bank Tuesday.

The woman entered the Comerica Bank on Telegraph Road near W. 12 Mile Road Tuesday, just before 2 p.m.  She help up a note that said, "I have a gun large bills."

While the teller was giving the suspect an unknown amount of money, the suspect said, "Hurry up, I have a gun."

The suspect exited the bank on foot in an unknown direction.

The suspect is described as a 30 to 40-year-old female with a dark complexion.  She is approximately 5-foot-5 to 5-foot-7, with a heavy build and crooked teeth.  She was wearing a black wig with gold streaks, sunglasses, a red short-sleeved shirt, blue jeans, and carrying a black purse.

The teller was not injured.
