Posted: Updated:
DETROIT (WJBK) -- A 26-year-old man has been charged with third-degree arson in connection with a string of fires set in Detroit buildings.

Anthony Fields was arraigned Wednesday on arson charges, obstruction of justice and resisting police.  He is being held on a $500 thousand bond.

The charges involve two of the fires in the string.

The first fire was set about 1 a.m. Monday in a vacant commercial building on the city's north end. Another building was set ablaze about 6:30 a.m.

Fields will be back in court on July 14 for a preliminary examination.
