The Timberwolves offseason construction has come to a conclusion. Today, flanked by GM Flip Saunders, center Nikola Pekovic was re-introduced to the media after he signed his five-year $60 million dollar deal.
"We're excited to officially announce Pek," said Saunders. "It's been a process that we've gone through. When I took this position about seven or eight weeks ago, we had a lot of things that we wanted to do. Our number one priority was getting Pek into the fold."
With several new pieces that include faces that are familiar and others that aren't. Pekovic was an offseason priority for a franchise that outside of the seven footer, doesn't have an inside presence.
