If the Timberwolves are going to be a playoff team, they are going to need road wins against teams like Denver. They did so on the back end of a two game road trip Thursday night 101-97.
What is more remarkable is that they did so without Ricky Rubio who was back in Minneapolis nursing a bad back. Kevin Love injured a finger on his right hand in the third quarter adding yet another casualty to the teams ever growing list of injuries. J.J. Barea picked up the slack scoring 12 of his 17 points in the fourth quarter to lead the way to the win. Alexey Shved also scored 17 points on seven-of-13 shooting from the floor.
The Wolves return home Saturday night to face the Portland Trailblazers at 7p.m. on a game that can be seen on My29.
