DETROIT, Mich. (WJBK) -

Two people have been arraigned after a man opened fire on a Michigan State Police trooper's vehicle during a police chase on Detroit's west side.

22-year old Clarence Deangelo Williams and 23-year old Brittany Pinelton, both of Detroit, are facing a series of charges following the incident that happened last Thursday in the area of McNichols and Grand River.

The trooper was trying to stop a Chrysler 300 at the time of the shooting but instead of stopping a man leaned out of the window and opened fire. The trooper was not hurt. The suspects fled their vehicle on foot in the area of Grand River and Stout and were later arrested.

Williams faces seven counts including Assault with Intent to Murder along with several firearm related charges. He's been ordered held on one million dollar cash bond. Pinelton faces four counts including Fleeing and Eluding police and possession of marijuana. Her bond was set at $500,000 cash bond.
