The Wolves won an ugly game in the season opener against the Kings 92-80. The bench was the story as J.J. Barea scored 21 points. Dante Cunningham and Greg Stiemsma played solid on the defensive end of the floor.
Sacramento center DeMarcus Cousins spent much of the second and third quarters on the bench with foul trouble as he scored 11 points and pulled down four rebounds for the Kings.
The key to the game lies in the Wolves guard play. The Wolves have allowed 189 points during the five game losing streak to opposing starting guards and Luke Ridnour has looked overmatched.
Isaiah Thomas was replaced by Aaron Brooks as the starting point guard.
Take the Love out of Glove:
If cleared by head trainer Gregg Farnam, Kevin Love will play his first game without a protective glove since returning from injury. The glove has restricted his shooting motion and has clearly frustrated the all-star forward.
