Basketblog: Countdown to Tipoff

Posted: Updated:

A little over24 hours until the opening tip of the regular season and I am about as excitedas a 10 year old the day before their birthday. There is something specialabout the start of the season. I still remember watching the Wolves first everopening day in 1989. I probably had a better seat on my couch in Lake ParkMinnesota than I would have at the Metrodome. Michael Jordan pumped in 45points as the Bulls beat our squad 96-84.

Oh yeah…and the Lakers are 0-2. Bonus!

24 hours til' tip:
While we have been forced to watch other NBA teams open their season, wefinally have our shot tomorrow against Sacto.

Tip off breakfast:
Starting at 6 tomorrow morning, the Wolves will host their annual "Tip-OffBreakfast" in the Target Center skyway area to start opening day. Timberwolvesdancers and Crunch will also be on hand to serve donuts and coffee.

"Countdown to Tipoff":
We've got the full court press on opening day. We'll have pictures, videoand content through the day as I spend opening day with the Gameday folks atTarget Center. From the radio and TV crew to the Operation people who make surethe fans inside Target Center have a great experience. It's an inside peek atgameday and it is going to be sweet.

Once 7pm hits, the first of 25 games will go LIVE on My29. It is the first overthe air Wolves game in over a year.

After the game, guru Mike Durkin along with myself will provideanalysis, give you interviews and more as the Wolves celebrate the first ofmany wins this season.

Timberwolves Tonight:
