It wasn't just the road trip to the motherland that had me excited. It marked the beginning of a new era. In the interest of full disclosure, I haven't been this wound up about a Wolves team since Cassel and Spree found their way to Target Center.

Pre-Game Humor:

You are going to see a ton of Mark Remme of Timberwolves.com this season. Mark does great work and is going to add a ton to our coverage of the Wolves on fox9.com as well as 29tv.com. His first comment following Rick Adelman's pre-game media gathering was "wow, a couple of one liners from the coach". Maybe a more comfortable but never content coach. What ever the case, Adelman, like any other bench boss is ready for his team to measure themselves against another team.

"It's always good to play against someone else," said head coach Rick Adelman. "We've been scrimmaging against each other for a week. To see the other teams and where we are and how you can measure your team is always good."

When asked what the best part of his team so far was the vet coach shot back.

"We're undefeated." Brining chuckles from the gathered media.

K-Love Ready:

There wasn't much downtime for Love this off season. The all-star took his game overseas with the Olympic team, winning a gold medal.

"Very excited," said Love when asked about the upcoming season. "I came back with all the different players we have added to the team. It's going to make for an exciting year."

Once Upon a Time:

Way back in 1995, alright it doesn't seem like 20 years ago, but it is, the Fargodome played host to the CBA Fargo-Moorhead Fever. The franchise only lasted two seasons, but living in the F-M area, I found myself inside the confines of the 'dome' on many a chilly January night.

Three Games in Four Nights:

A brutal schedule greets the Wolves with three games in four nights to begin the preseason. After tonight's contest, the Wolves will travel to Indianapolis to face the Pacers on Friday night, then turn around and host the Bulls Saturday night at Target Center.
