July is UV Awareness month, but new research suggests men in Minnesota need to be more aware about the risks of skin cancer.
According to the American Cancer Society, men in Minnesota are 30 percent more likely to be diagnosed with melanoma in their lifetime than women.
Between 2003 and 2007, over 1,000 Minnesotans were diagnosed with invasive melanoma, making it the sixth most common cancer in the state.
