MINNETONKA, Minn. (KMSP) -

A 17-year-old boy was hit by a car and killed while riding his bike Wednesday night in Minnetonka.

Andrew Dudley, a St. Louis Park High School senior, was pulling out of the parking lot of Cross of Glory Church onto Shady Oak Road when he was hit by the car.

Dudley died at the scene. Minnetonka police said alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the crash, but they are still investigating.

Grief counselors were being made available at the school and a memorial event was planned at the church for 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday night.

Over the lunch hour, 350 seniors painted the senior wall, leaving a hand print in honor of Andrew Dudley.

On Thursday night, friends and family held an impromptu memorial for the teen where they could share memories, laughs and tears.

Counselors will be at the school again on Friday at 1:30 p.m. for a grief session with students, and members of the community are also planning to attend.

A second memorial service for Dudley is scheduled for Tuesday at 3 p.m.
