The Minnesota Timberwolves beat the Detroit Pistons 91-80 Thursday night to win their first April game in three years. The Wolves' last April win came April 8, 2009, at Golden State.
Nikola Pekovic scored 23 points and J.J. Barea finished with 13 points, 12 assists and six rebounds to help snap an 11-game losing streak that evaporated the team's playoff hopes.
"We finally got a win," said Barea. "We had a lot of energy and we moved the ball well."
"We just want to see if we can turn this around in the last two games and end the season on a positive note," head coach Rick Adelman said.
Adelman said Kevin Love could return for the team's final two games if he is cleared by doctors.
