Young Athletes™
This is an innovative, inclusive sports play program for children with and without intellectual disabilities, designed to introduce them to the world of sports prior to Special Olympics eligibility at age eight.
Over the years, families of children too young to compete looked for avenues to join the movement. Special Olympics now welcomes these future athletes and families through Young Athletes™ – a developmentally appropriate and inclusive play program for children with and without intellectual disabilities ages two through seven.
Learn more about the program at www.specialolympicsminnesota.org/Young_Athletes.
