So your jack-o-lantern has gone from spooky to sad, there's candy all over the house, and you have no idea what to do with that Halloween costume.  Folks, you're experiencing a Halloween hangover.  But have no fear, I'm about to lift your spirits with a few post Halloween-fixes that are easy and green.

COSTUMES

Donate them to thrift stores or Goodwill stores.

Donate them to school or community theater departments.

Store them away and throw a costume swap party next fall.

JACK-O-LANTERNS

Bury him in the backyard.  Pumpkins are loaded with nutrients so he'll decompose nicely and release lots of nutrients in the soil.

Make sure your pumpkin is free of wax or other decorations before you let him rest in peace.  Those types of things will not decompose.

Leave a small marker (like a stick or stone) so you know exactly where to plant flowers next spring.  It'll be a nice reminder of good old jack.

LEFTOVER CANDY

Candy will keep for a very long time because it's loaded with sugar.  So store it away for the holidays and use it as stocking stuffers.

Don't let it haunt your house.  Take it to work and put it in the break room for all to enjoy.

Another option:  LEFTOVER HALLOWEEN CANDY COOKIES
